Mirjana Lucic-Baroni – Professional Tennis Player

Tennis phenomenon Mirjana Lucic-Baroni recently took the Australian Open by storm. The 34-year-old athlete clashed with Serena Williams in the semi-finals, proving that she is still a force to be reckoned with. Lucic-Baroni travels the world over to compete in international tournaments, but she enjoys spending time at home in Sarasota most of all, with her family and at Mediterraneo, her husband’s Italian restaurant on Main Street that is a local favorite.


Avril Stinson – Investor Relations Manager / Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation

Avril Stinson was recently promoted to the position of Investor Relations Manager with the EDC. Her top priority is to engage all investors in the organization’s efforts to ensure positive growth in the outstanding Tampa Bay area. Stinson earned a bachelor’s in Public Relations from the University of Florida and a master’s in Counseling from Marshall University. She has had an eclectic career and previously spent time focusing on voluntarism and philanthropy. A native Floridian, Stinson is happy to call Tampa Bay home. She enjoys reading, playing tennis, being outdoors, live music and supporting the arts.



Heidi Brown – CEO / Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast, Inc.

The multi-county, multi-function, social service nonprofit organization has a new CEO. Heidi Brown is the former CEO of Sarasota’s own Aviva senior care center, where she exhibited a level of dedication to her work that gives a hopeful outlook to the future of the JFCS. As a survivor of breast cancer, one of Brown’s major goals is to expand the care and services provided by JFCS’s Cancer Support and Wellness Program. Brown says, “I am extremely humbled to have been chosen for this important role, which allows me to continue my life’s work and fulfill my passion for building relationships, helping people and engaging in vital connections to improve the community.”



Charlotte Osterman – Owner / Charlotte Osterman Design

Proudly displaying a “Made in the U.S.A.” label is a new line of hand silk-screened fabrics and textiles from Charlotte Osterman. Targeted clients include interior designers, homeowners and real estate agents seeking exciting materials for dynamic home staging. Osterman’s creative collection is colorful and vibrant, with a bold use of Florida-inspired florals and elements of Moroccan tiles and Matisse cutouts. For now, Osterman works out of a home studio with plans to get her work into high-traffic showrooms.



LaKisha M. Kinsey-Sallis / Partner, Thompson, Sizemore, Gonzalez & Hearing, P.A.

LaKisha M. Kinsey-Sallis was recently made a partner in the Tampa-area law firm. Kinsey-Sallis focuses on managementside labor and employment law as well as education and administrative law. While in law school, she was a member of the Philip H. Corboy Trial Team and selected as a Cooney & Conway fellow given her demonstrated interest and skills in advocacy/litigation. She is a member of the Illinois and Florida State Bars as well as a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the George Edgecomb Bar Association.
