Beatlemania Redux

Netflix is determined to give the kids of today an affinity for…bugs?! This month, the animated series “Beat Bugs” debuted, featuring the songs of those iconic 60s chart toppers—the Beatles. The computer animated series follows the lives and adventures of five cute and talented insects who live in an overgrown backyard. At any given time they could break out into one of the Fab Four’s hits and wow the entire family. Even though it’s been more than 50 years since the Beatles first burst onto the scene, so much of their music is timeless…but possibly new to the ears of the younger generation. Isn’t it great that little ones will get a chance to listen and sing along to tunes that turned teens into screaming fanatics back then? Now when you hear them yelling about backyard bugs, it won’t be because they are creeped out, but because they are utterly delighted!
