Republican Presidential Candidate
Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina means business. As one of the most powerful women in corporate America, Fiorina served as the chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard — the first female head of a Fortune 500 company — before she was forced out in 2005. Named by Fortune as the most powerful woman in business, Fiorina says she decided to run for president because of the growing disconnect between regular people and the political class. Supporters praise Fiorina for her direct and eloquent style of speech and say her experience in the business world is paramount to making decisions as a world leader. She is no stranger to politics, though, having served as Republican John McCain’s advisor during the 2008 election. In 2010, she ran for the Senate winning a three way race but, ultimately losing to the Democratic incumbent.
