As part of Fortune magazine’s annual Most Powerful Women Summit, Megyn Kelly, the host of “The Kelly File,” says that while she’s honored to be included, she’s definitely not letting the accolades go to her head.
“Of course it’s flattering to be included, but I don’t take myself or things like this too seriously,” says Kelly of the event that runs through Wednesday at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in Dana Point. “It’s funny, I have to explain it to my children because they don’t particularly like it when I go out of town and try explaining to a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old what that means.
“I put my arms above my head and I said, ‘We’re going to go out and celebrate my power!’ I think literally my (children) are the only ones who truly appreciate the power I have.”
